Another busy November has flown by as we have managed the quick switch from Pumpkins to the beginning of the Christmas run in. The one annual item on the calendar that separates the two is our two days of Remembrance. For the two minutes at 11am on Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th cutlery, crockery, Chefs' pans, Butchers' knives, and shopping baskets were all put down.

Shop and Café decorating followed and the Christmas stock was bought out ready for our annual Christmas Taster Evening. A huge thanks to those of you who visited; stall holders, our Farming partners for the loan of a tractor, our resident Shepherds for bringing in their Shropshire Sheep for the evening, our neighbours from Leaton for bringing a selection of their Christmas trees, and of course Santa himself. The Battlefield 1403 staff teams put in a huge effort to pull together a wonderful Christmas showcase of what we have to offer, so my thanks goes out to everyone involved.
The Christmas Evening also allowed us to show off our new addition to the Woodshed. A log burner is now in place. This is lit each day and provides warmth to our dog friendly seating and dining area. Do pop in and make use of one of the easy chairs while enjoying something from the menu!
Other events to have taken place in November have included Wreathmaking classes by Mollie of Blossom and Bloom, another program of puppy and dog training evening classes by Claire and Bloss of 4 Legs-Good (I can personally recommend these two for any canine guidance), and finally after being part of the Battlefield courtyard for the last 5 months, we have said goodbye to Wenlock Water’s Coolertron who moves onto a new setting. We will miss him.

All orders placed with us for Christmas will be rewarded with a 10% Discount Card to use as often as you like in the shop throughout the month of January 2026.
