February has been busy at Battlefield 1403 with a number of special days to celebrate. Following on from my mention last month of National Celebration Days, we had Valentine's Day of course, with our Butchers preparing their wonderful, matured steaks and the bakery with their sweet treats for the Farm Shop. Pancake day swiftly followed with the Café putting on a sweet and savoury pancake Menu just for the day. Real Bread Week took place last week (21st – 28th) with our local Bakers attending a tasting day in the shop.
Moving forward, March has plenty to offer and we will be looking to provide tasters for you to try during the weekends.
Staying with the food, we have our Spring Menu launch on Wednesday 4th March. Please do have a read through, there are many options well worth a try when you next visit.
Education is back on the timetable again and we were delighted to host a group of 40 to 50 prospective Harper Adams students on site for a tour of the Farm and the Battlefield site. Discussions that follow with the visitors from all over the UK are always extremely valuable, hearing their thoughts, comparable stories and experiences from other Farm Shops around the country.
