It’s been a busy February at Battlefield 1403 with early preparations made for Valentine's offers. The Butchers prepared their perfect matured steaks to go with an accompanying sauce, the Bakery was hard at work producing a range of sweet treats for the shop and the chefs and deli produced some delightful savoury snack sharing boxes.
Away from the food but still firmly on site we renewed our support to the Midlands Air Ambulance group for this year and explored opportunities to have them along to some of our up and coming events. We have also added a drop off box in the visitor centre. Here we invite you do drop off any items that you would like to donate to the Air Ambulance shop in Shrewsbury. Do please support this fantastic organisation in any way you can.
Education plays a valuable part of what we do here at Battlefield, and we are delighted to get the school and college visits off the ground again this year with a group of Harper Adams students dropping in to see us for a look around.
Staying on the subject of visits I am very excited to be welcoming a group of Farm Retail Association delegates to Battlefield 1403 early next month. Each year the association (representing farm shops from all areas of the UK) visit a region for their annual conference. This year the Midlands play host, and Battlefield is one of the venues to be visited on ‘bus tour day’. Please look out for my message next month to see how it goes.
