Another month has whistled past and we’re once again heading to Christmas!
November is always a month that sees the most change at Battlefield with the quick transition from Pumpkins to the festive build up.
The pumpkin patch was a great success with our visitors being able to pick their own pumpkins off the stalk for the first time and all with the backdrop of the historic battlefield church. We plan to repeat this next year, (a little larger this time) and on the next patch across.
Last week saw our annual Christmas launch event take place. A huge thanks to everyone, visitors and stall holders alike for braving the weather and coming to see us. This was also a huge effort by all of the staff teams on site so thank you for all of your extra hard work too. Despite the snow early in the week and again on the evening itself, we were delighted with the turnout and I’m sure that Santa, the stall holders, brass band, turkey baps and mulled wine to name a few, all made the visit worthwhile.
Behind the scenes, work is near to completion on the refurbishment of our production and bakery units. When finished we will have far more space for all of our home-made produce allowing for improved week-round availability of your favourite items.
Staying behind the scenes, I'm also delighted to say that we have extended our car parking for the rest of the year. The farmyard at the top of the courtyard is now fully available for you to use so don’t worry if the front and side car parks appear full. Simply keep driving around to the rear of the site – access from your car to the courtyard is very easy and all on the same level.
We are of course taking orders for all of your food and drink requirements, please take a look here to see our product lists. All orders placed with us for Christmas will be rewarded with a 10% discount card to use as often as you like in the shop and cafe through the month of January.
