'Such an idyllic spot to visit a farm shop. Battlefield has so much to offer. We love taking the children on the enchanted trail walk followed by a scrumptious slice of cake with a coffee. But we never leave without seeing what the butchers recommend for a weekend treat not forgetting a pack of their amazing sausages!'

'Battlefield 1403 is a wonderful place which celebrates local history. The shop is full of wonderful produce and the staff are incredibly kind. Their Sparrow Cafe is amazing and features local produce - a favourite place for meeting friends and family. Battlefield 1403 celebrates everything that is wonderful about Shrewsbury and Shropshire.'

'Their displays are always set out lovely, the meat counter is laid out very inviting, so as you know what you're getting, overall the shop is a dream to visit.'

What the Judges had to say about Battlefield 1403;

'Love their commitment to their own produce and locally sourced. Making everything they can. Great education centre and free museum.'

'Lovely, informative website. Very much a working farm which makes it a true farm shop. Lovely links with the colleges and the educational side of the battlefield ... good for also promoting the food of the area through the shop, something of a USP.
