Exhibition and Visitors Centre
Battlefield 1403 Exhibition is housed in a converted stable unit and cattle shed, situated on the left hand side as you enter the courtyard.
Admission to the Exhibition is FREE.
Here the story of the Battle of Shrewsbury is told. It was fought on 21st July 1403 between king Henry IV and a rebellious faction led by the Percy family.
The exhibition explains the facts as we know them and introduces additional fun facts for children narrated by "Archie Sparrow". Exhibits on display include a full armoured "Sir Nicholas", various weaponry, a longbow archer and other medieval artefacts.
